Job Purpose:

The Admissions and Enrolment Manager provides leadership across the full admissions and enrolment cycle at the RCA. The postholder is responsible for setting service standards, ensuring compliance with statutory and regulatory requirements, and driving service development through data insights, innovation, and stakeholder collaboration. This role includes direct accountability for managing staff, systems, and data to deliver an excellent applicant and student experience and contributes to institutional policy, planning, and performance monitoring.

Working collaboratively with Schools, Student Support Services, and Professional Service teams, the role ensures accurate student records, compliance with external and institutional requirements, and continuous service enhancement informed by data and user feedback.

Main Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Lead, develop, and assure the integrity of the admissions and enrolment cycle (enquiry, application, offer, CAS production, and enrolment reporting), ensuring consistency and fairness across all programmes.
  • Act as the operational lead for admissions and enrolment in cross-College working groups, maintaining collaborative relationships with academic schools to support admissions activities.
  • Plan and deliver postgraduate admissions and enrolment processes annually.
  • Lead, develop, and line-manage the Admissions and Enrolment team, setting direction, establishing service standards, supporting professional development, and embedding a culture of continuous improvement.
  • Serve as senior user for student records and digital enquiry systems (primarily ServiceNow and Thesis), ensuring data integrity, timely processing, and high-quality reporting.
  • Take ownership of data accuracy, reporting, and analysis across the admissions lifecycle, providing evidence-based insights to inform recruitment planning, policy, compliance returns (HESA, OfS, UKVI), and executive decision-making.
  • Oversee CAS issuance for international students, ensuring compliance with UKVI, OfS, HESA, and other external bodies, and embedding risk management processes within operations.
  • Set clear objectives, KPIs, and service standards to ensure an efficient and applicant-centred service.
  • Collaborate with the Head of Registry Operations on policy development, process improvement, and workflow management supporting the student journey from pre-application to enrolment.
  • Contribute to system testing, development, and training for upgrades and business change initiatives related to admissions and enrolment.
  • Deputise for the Head of Registry Operations on admissions, enrolment, compliance, and data reporting.
  • Represent the RCA at internal committees, working groups, and external sector events as appropriate.
  • Work closely with Marketing, Recruitment, Visa, Academic Skills, and Student Funding teams to ensure a seamless, joined-up student journey, including Scholarship and funding cycles and English for Academic Purposes programme registration.

Person Specification:

Candidates should demonstrate significant experience in higher education admissions or enrolment, staff management, service transformation, and postgraduate student lifecycle operations. High digital and data literacy, strong organisational skills, and the ability to work under pressure while leading by example are essential.
