ABOUT US AND THE TEAM
The University of Sunderland in London, based at Canary Wharf, boasts a vibrant and diverse community of staff and students. We consider ourselves as an innovative satellite campus and are constantly evolving and have exciting plans for 2025 and beyond!
We are currently piloting a four-day working week which allows our colleagues to work 32 hours over 4 days week with no reduction in pay.
In addition, earlier this year we moved to a new, modern campus building adjacent to our current location offering a bright and spacious learning and working environment.
ABOUT THE ROLE
The Digital Learning Team sits within the Academic Development Centre and provides support and guidance for academic staff in the use of educational technology and online teaching and learning design, including training in a wide range of digital tools and platforms. The team also design and deliver digital learning support for students through training programmes as well as delivering a programme of peer-to-peer support through the Digital Coaches.
You will be working with the Senior Digital Learning Manager, to enhance the design of learning along with the use of the Digital Learning platforms at the University of Sunderland in London (UoSiL). Work collaboratively in the development of learning through digital transformation. Provide support to staff and students, helping resolve issues, and providing advice and training on the use of the technologies to aid teaching and learning.
To be successful in this role, you will have expertise in learning design principles and the application of these principles to digital learning and with a thorough understanding of the Higher Education environment. You will be working with academics, professional services teams and students with a diverse range of needs, so excellent communication skills are essential.
