Summary of the role
The unique resources held in Special Collections are an integral part of the university library service, which underpins teaching and research by providing extensive access to information resources. This role is crucial to support the ongoing work to build the profile of our unique collections both internally and externally; with the service leading on the Library's Civic Commitment, alongside embedding collections in research, teaching, and learning.
We are looking for an enthusiastic and self-motivated individual with a keen and wide-ranging interest in the Heritage and Higher Education environment. You will have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, excellent customer service, a strong commitment to promoting collections, and to the application of technology in Heritage. The role will work with the other Archivists in post to lead in the development of our collections in line with our policies and wider University strategies.
