HRUC (Harrow, Richmond and Uxbridge Colleges) is a successful merged college group, based across 5 vibrant campuses. We offer high quality courses, apprenticeships and programmes for young people, enabling them to Be Extraordinary. We’re seeking a proactive, empathetic, and strategically minded People Partner to help shape a thriving, inclusive culture across HRUC. This is a pivotal role for someone who’s passionate about enabling organisational change, championing equity, and designing people-centred processes that empower staff and students alike.

Key Responsibilities

  • Build trusted relationships with senior leaders and staff, championing a positive and inclusive people experience
  • Lead strategic People initiatives that support HRUC’s goals—such as talent development, staff engagement, and diversity and inclusion
  • Manage complex employee relations cases with professionalism and care, ensuring legal compliance and alignment with HRUC policies
  • Develop and implement strategic workforce plans that anticipate future needs and support long-term growth
  • Collaborate on training and development strategies that build capability and confidence across teams
  • Play a key role in organisational change, offering expertise in restructuring, culture transformation, and continuous improvement

What We’re Looking For

We’re looking for an inspiring and innovative individual who brings:

  • CIPD Level 5 qualification or equivalent relevant experience
  • Proven success managing complex ER cases and a broad range of employee relations issues
  • Strong knowledge of HR practices including performance, absence, and grievance management
  • Strategic and operational agility—able to translate vision into action
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to influence and build relationships quickly
  • A proactive mindset, with sound judgement and a solutions-focused approach
