The University of New Haven seeks experienced and student-focused full time Instructors for a Pre-University Program to be delivered in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. The program focuses on preparing students for admission into a bachelor’s degree program. Instructors must have the ability to teach in one or both of the following areas, those who can teach both are highly desirable.

  • English for Academic Purposes (EAP)
  • Mathematics (Introductory Mathematics, Pre-College Math and Pre- Algebra)

Pre-University Program is anticipated to launch in mid-January 2026, with deployment to Riyadh within the first 2 weeks of January. Instructors will provide intensive academic English and/or pre-college Math instruction to students preparing to enter the University of New Haven’s planned College of Business and Digital Innovation. All Instructors may be called upon to deliver classes related to basic academic study, research and presentation skills.

Please note: The successful candidates will be processed, onboarded, and deployed to Riyadh through a human resources outsourcing firm contracted by the University of New Haven. All academic duties will be supervised by University of New Haven’s administrative staff. Instructors must be able to obtain and maintain an appropriate Saudi Arabia Visa and related Work Authorizations through the human resources outsourcing firm.

You will:

English Instructors:

  • Deliver 24 contact teaching hours per week to a section generally up to 24 students, plus preparation, assessment, and meetings. May be adjusted as program proceeds.
  • Provide engaging, learner-centered instruction, teaching integrated English skills (Listening, Speaking, Reading, Writing) using an American academic EAP curriculum.
  • Provide IELTS/TOEFL test preparation.
  • Administer IELTS modeled assessments.

Math Instructors:

  • Teach multiple sections, may be adjusted as program proceeds
  • Provide engaging, learner-centered instruction in pre-college math, pre-algebra, numeracy, and applied problem-solving to support students’ academic readiness and progression in Math. 

All Instructors: 

  • Maintain accurate records of attendance, performance, and grades.
  • Support student engagement and provide academic progress feedback.
  • Participate in curriculum design, assessment, moderation, office hours, and academic team meetings.
  • Instructors may be assigned to teach basic academic preparation skills, college study skills, paper writing, and presentations, etc.
  • Potentially provide AI-assisted learning, and “design thinking” pathway-specific project-based content.

Teaching Load and Work Conditions:

  • 5-day work week (Sunday–Thursday), morning or afternoon blocks
  • Summer term anticipated
  • Location: Riyadh campus
  • Deployment through a human resources outsourcing firm contracted by the University of New Haven
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a Saudi Arabia Visa and work authorization

You need:

English Instructor Requirements:

  • Master’s degree in TESOL, Applied Linguistics, English, or related field
  • Ideally minimum 3 years of EAP teaching experience
  • Proficiency in teaching IELTS 5.0–6.5 levels and using educational technology
  • Experience in intensive preparatory programs, university foundations years, or international contexts.

Math Instructor Requirements:

  • Master’s degree in Mathematics, Math Education, Applied Mathematics, or related field
  • Ideally minimum 3 years of teaching experience at the secondary or pre-university level
  • Strong ability to teach Pre-College Math and Pre-Algebra concepts (fractions, decimals, rations, equations, inequalities, functions, and problem solving).
  • Experience with Pre-Calculus is a plus
  • Experience in intensive preparatory programs, university foundation years, or international contexts.
