Faculty Position (Open Rank) in Psychology / Clinical Psychology is effective from August 2026
Position Summary
KIMEP University College of Human Sciences and Education invites applications for faculty positions.
The positions are full-time academic appointments to begin in August 2026. Responsibilities include teaching, program and course development, research, scholarly activities, advising, and service. In addition to that, the faculty have to have experience in curriculum and program development, and support the program in maintaining ongoing approval and accreditation. The new faculty will assist in the undergraduate and graduate programs offered by the department, particularly in our new BA in Psychology, BA in Cognitive Science, and MA in Clinical Psychology (to be offered in Fall 2025).
Minimum Qualifications:
For all instructors experience with remote or online course design and teaching is strongly desired. Familiarity with CIS countries or similar international experience is welcome.
ABD’s will be considered who meet the position qualifications and include in their application materials a letter from the dissertation chair confirming defense date prior to the position’s start date.

Compensation
Rank and salary are competitive and commensurate with experience and qualifications. Compensation after tax compares favorably with net salaries in western countries. Limited on campus housing is available to rent, or alternatively, help is available in finding off campus housing. In addition to salary, a benefit package includes basic healthcare insurance, reduced tuition rates for KIMEP courses, and subsidy for relocation allowance. New faculty members are provided with a reduced teaching schedule during the first semester. Summer paid teaching is typically available.
The salary will be subject to deduction of taxes (10% Personal Income tax in general) as required by the Law of Kazakhstan.
