The role
Are you passionate about shaping organisational culture, developing talent and leadership, and driving meaningful change in an ambitious and inclusive workplace? Do you thrive in a collaborative, digitally enabled environment where innovation and people are at the heart of everything we do? If so, we’d love to hear from you.
We’re looking for an experienced and forward-thinking Organisational Development Advisor to join our HR & OD team. This is an exciting role and is key in supporting our transformation agenda and delivering strategic initiatives that build workforce capability, leadership strength, and a thriving, inclusive organisational culture.
What you’ll do
You’ll work across the full OD cycle—diagnosing needs, designing and delivering impactful interventions, and evaluating outcomes. From leading cultural change programmes and supporting leadership development to maximising our digital learning platforms and embedding our values and behaviours, you’ll be at the heart of shaping how our people grow and succeed.
What you’ll bring
We welcome applications from individuals with a range of backgrounds and experiences. You’ll bring a blend of expertise, curiosity, and a genuine passion for people development. You’ll have a degree or equivalent experience, ideally with CIPD membership, and a solid background in learning and development. You’ll be confident designing inclusive and impactful initiatives, with a strong grasp of organisational development theories and tools. Experience working within digital learning environments and a good understanding of apprenticeship standards will be key. Most importantly, you’ll be proactive, credible, and digitally confident—ready to drive change and make a real difference across our diverse university community.
What we offer
In return, we offer a generous benefits package including a competitive salary, 32 days annual leave per year, membership of a defined contribution pension scheme and access to a wide range of health and wellbeing benefits including discounted gym membership, remote GP access and free physiotherapy, to name just a few.
At University of Staffordshire, we’re on an exciting journey of transformation. We value diversity and are committed to creating an environment where everyone feels they belong and can thrive. You’ll be part of a team that’s shaping the future of our organisation—developing people, embedding values and enabling innovation.
