Location: MacLaurin Building, University of Hertfordshire, Hatfield
Main duties and responsibilities
We are looking to appoint a skilled and knowledgeable person to support in completing administration activities required relating to academic quality, systems, and projects in response to the University’s academic portfolio. The role will assist in the whole life cycle of programme creation within all academic quality systems. To ensure accurate and timely completion of administration activities relating to the creation of course structures, validation documentation and systems liaising as required internally and externally.
The successful applicant will play an important role in encouraging a culture of flexibility, excellence, and willingness to assist colleagues within Academic Services and across the University, specifically from academic schools and the Student Administration Service.
Skill and experience required
You should have appropriate proven administrative experience, ideally within an HEI, along with proficiency and experience in IT across the range of Microsoft products including databases, spreadsheets, and word-processing.
You should also be able to demonstrate that you have experience dealing with conflicting priorities, and the ability to work under pressure, preferably within a complex and dynamic organisation. You should have a methodical approach with good attention to detail, and the ability to create successful working relationships with a wide range of people.
You will have a can-do attitude to problem-solving, be positive in their approach and be able to demonstrate good communication skills and experience of processing data. You should also have experience of customer service.
Qualifications required
You should be educated to a minimum of A-levels or equivalents or proven professional work experience.
