Cardiff Metropolitan University is embarking on an exciting journey to procure and implement a new student record system - an initiative that will shape the future of how we support our students. As part of this transformational programme, we are recruiting a team which will play pivotal roles in delivering and shaping this change. We are now looking for a Programme Manager to build this team and oversee the programme management activity to ensure its successful delivery.
As a key member of the Programme Board, you will provide expert guidance and support to shape a compelling vision with clear deliverables and drive the development of a strategic programme plan that turns that vision into reality.
From programme initiation through to implementation and embedding into business as usual, you will lead with credibility and visibility. You will create a collaborative environment where shared goals and collective ownership inspire commitment of project objectives. You will bring colleagues and external parties together, developing strong, cross-functional relationships to achieve a collective result.

With significant experience of delivering complex, multi-faceted change programmes in a large organisation; you will bring a strong working knowledge of programme and project management processes and techniques. As a Programme Manager with a broad understanding of IT systems, you are confident managing delivery within time, cost and scope – ensuring outcomes are achieved to a high standard.
You will be comfortable building relationships with a wide range of people, with a proven ability to positively influence and negotiate at a senior level. You must be skilled in gathering, analysing and presenting complex information, through reports, briefings and presentations.
