GCU London is the London-based postgraduate campus of Glasgow Caledonian University. We are now accepting expressions of interest from candidates with academic/industry experience to join our 2026 Tri B (Spring Term) Supervisor Team as a Casual Hour Worker (Occasional) for the following subject areas:
International Management & Business Development
International Marketing
Fashion, Luxury and Sustainability – Branding, Marketing & Business
The supervisor will be allocated a pool of students undertaking their 60-unit Masters Research Project (dissertation) and will provide academic guidance and feedback over a 11-week period to ensure a seamless execution of the student’s ideas and ultimate completion of the project. Support will be provided by the supervisor through online or face to face meetings and email guidance in accordance with the university’s policies and practices. The supervisor will also first mark the submitted dissertation and complete second marking of another student they did not supervise. The supervision and marking are included in the fee.

Expressions of interest are welcomed from suitably qualified individuals with advanced knowledge of relevant course topics ranging from marketing to management and fashion disciplines. Supervision experience in UK universities at postgraduate level is preferred alongside relevant industry expertise.

Successful applicants will be engaged as Casual Hour Workers on a flexible basis and will be paid per student supervised and second marked. Renumeration is arranged per student supervised, based on an hourly rate of £59.00. NOTE: all new supervisors must attend one of the following half-day onboarding sessions at the GCU London Campus: 4 December or 15 January. Travel reimbursement is not available.
