About the role:
We are looking for an experienced Project Manager to support management and delivery of Transmission Zero (https://www.transmissionzero.org/), an international research programme that aims to develop new tools for vector control for tackling malaria in sub-Saharan Africa.
As part of the management team, you will be responsible for ensuring successful delivery of the programme’s milestones within the projected timeline and available budget. Your primary responsibility will be to coordinate between the different research teams in the UK and Tanzania as well as external experts and consultants working for the project to deliver on key milestones set out by the Transmission Zero leadership. You will report to Transmission Zero’s co-directors who are responsible for execution of the overall programme.
This is a challenging role requiring technical knowledge and thorough grasp of the technical aspects of the research and involves wide-ranging and high-level responsibilities. Therefore, whilst project management qualifications and experience are highly desirable, a Master’s degree or equivalent in biological sciences or related disciplines is essential. You must be comfortable working at the leading edge of a new field, driving product-oriented deliverables for a genetic technology with a yet undefined developmental path to application.
