- ABOUT US -

We are a university with a national and international reputation for excellence, innovation and regional engagement, making a major contribution to the economic, social, and cultural development of Northern Ireland.

Our core business activities are teaching and learning, widening access to education, research and innovation, and technology and knowledge transfer.

- THE ROLE -

The postholder will be a full-time, dedicated Research Associate (Mobile Digilab Co-ordinator) for the mobile digital multimedia lab as part of the Digital Services, Digital Support, and Digital Spaces (DS3) project.

DS3 is an EU PEACEPLUS-funded cross-border project, led by the Irish Central Border Area Network (ICBAN), which seeks to engage SMEs, microbusinesses, community and voluntary organisations, and citizens in a variety of activities which will help close the ICT skills gap in rural communities. The project will be carried out in towns and villages with a population of less than 18,000 across seven council areas. Ulster will manage various work packages, including the development and management of the mobile digital multimedia lab.

The postholder will work with the partner lead on this work package and the wider partner group to support the development and management of programmes and projects that support the use of multimedia technology and the establishment of the mobile facility. They will work across the project area to stimulate demand and respond to needs identified and will liaise with the overall mobile facilities co-ordinator overseeing the operations of both hubs across the Central Border Region.

This project is supported by PEACEPLUS, a programme managed by the Special EU Programmes Body.

We may create a 12-month waiting list for the same or similar roles within the Department/Faculty. The University reserves the right to extend the waiting list across the University if required for certain posts.

- ABOUT YOU -

The postholder will be required to have:

- A degree.
- Project management experience with clear evidence of successful delivery against project objectives.
- Experience of using marketing techniques to stimulate demand, set targets, and evaluate performance.
