Founded in 1882, The Royal College of Music (RCM) is a world leading music conservatoire with a prestigious history and contemporary outlook. Our excellence was recognised by the 2025 QS World University Rankings, in which we were ranked as the global No. 1 institution for both Music and Performing Arts. The College has held this world-leading place in Performing Arts for the three successive years, while Music is a new subject introduced to the rankings this year.
The Royal College of Music (RCM) Development team raises significant funds each year from individuals, companies, charitable trusts and foundations, to support the RCM in its educational and artistic mission.
As part of our fundraising activities, the RCM Events and Engagement team organises a range of high-level supporter events including fundraising galas. The team is also responsible for a Venue Hire offering following a £40 million building development. The project saw the creation of a new RCM Museum, two new performance spaces and the light and bright RCM Café and 1851 Courtyard.
The Events Administrative Assistant will support the Events and Engagement team with scheduling and administration, marketing support, front line sales and exceptional customer service.
This would be an excellent opportunity for someone with a passion for events, unique venues and music or a recent Graduate looking to take their first step within the events industry. The successful candidate will have strong support from the Events and Engagement team with hands-on opportunities for career development.
This post is offered on a permanent, full-time basis and is available from November 2025.
