We are a neuroscience research group based in the Department of Physiology, Development and Neuroscience at the University of Cambridge. We are seeking a part-time Research Associate to contribute to a project investigating the neuromodulatory effects of protein synthesis levels during neuronal network states.
The successful candidate will have recently completed a PhD in computational neuroscience and possess a strong quantitative background (e.g., in mathematics). Advanced statistical skills and experience with time-series analysis are essential. Experience with bioinformatics is desirable.
The post holder will be responsible for developing new analysis tools for neurophysiological data and applying them to a dataset of silicon probe recordings in rodents.
This position is offered as part time, 11.1 hours per week (0.3 FTE).
Fixed-term: The funds for this post are available for 4 months in the first instance.
