This is an exciting opportunity for a talented and motivated Lecturer to join the vibrant and supportive team in the School of Clinical Dentistry, part of the Faculty of Health at the University of Sheffield.
You will contribute to the delivery and enhancement of our undergraduate programmes, particularly the flagship Bachelor of Dental Surgery (BDS), while playing a key role in postgraduate research (PGR) supervision and student support. Teaching areas of interest include histology, physiology, cancer biology, immunology, and relevant laboratory techniques.
We are particularly interested in candidates whose research expertise lies in histology, cancer biology and/or molecular cell biology, especially those investigating the mechanisms underpinning non-communicable diseases, including cancer. Applicants with research interests aligned to any of the School’s strategic research themes are also encouraged to apply.
This post offers an excellent opportunity to establish and/or lead your own research group, contribute to interdisciplinary projects, and produce world class research with real-world impact. You will also supervise PhD students and early career researchers, and develop externally funded research programmes that align with national and international priorities.
You will join a world-leading centre for oral and dental research, committed to improving health and patient outcomes. The School provides a collaborative and well-resourced environment, with access to laboratory infrastructure, dedicated technical support, and strong partnerships across the University and beyond.
