About the role
We are looking to appoint a Research Assistant to support the NIHR-funded Human Papillomavirus Vaccination (HPV-V) Study, which explores HPV immunisation uptake among school-age children, particularly within disadvantaged and ethnically diverse communities. The role involves participant recruitment, qualitative data collection and analysis, and supporting knowledge mobilisation activities.
You will work closely with schools, community organisations, and stakeholders across the East Midlands, contributing to the delivery of high-quality research outputs. The post offers an excellent opportunity to gain experience in applied health research within a collaborative and interdisciplinary team.
About you
You will hold a postgraduate qualification in Psychology, Public Health, Epidemiology, Medicine or a related discipline, and have experience in qualitative research methods, including interviews or focus groups and data analysis. Strong communication skills and a commitment to inclusive, impact-driven research are essential.
We are seeking a motivated and organised individual who can work independently and collaboratively, and is willing to travel regularly to schools and community settings. Familiarity with safeguarding procedures and digital literacy are important, and experience in participatory research or public engagement would be an advantage.

Informal enquiries are welcome and should be made to Gianina Postavaru on gp259@leicester.ac.uk
