The Faculty wishes to recruit a Graduate Research Assistant to support the work of Dr Vicky Stiles and Dr Matthew Ellison. This MRC-funded post is available from January 2026 to 31 October 2026. The successful applicant will co-ordinate the day-to-day delivery of a feasibility study investigating a novel digital health innovation for bone health.
This is an exciting opportunity to gain hands-on experience in applied digital health research. The postholder will work with study participants and advisory groups, contribute to mixed-methods data collection and analysis and support the development of participant materials and study reports.
We welcome applications from candidates interested in working part-time hours (e.g., 0.8FTE).
About you
The successful applicant will be educated to first degree level (or possess equivalent experience) in a relevant discipline such as Public Health, Sport and Health Sciences, Psychology or a related field. They will have knowledge of research methods and techniques sufficient to engage confidently in a mixed-methods feasibility study and an interest in digital health innovation.
Applicants will be able to present information on research progress and outcomes, communicate complex information orally, in writing and electronically and contribute to the preparation of study reports, presentations and publications.
The successful applicant will have strong organisational and communication skills, experience working collaboratively in research or applied settings and the ability to manage multiple tasks within a coordinated project workflow. Experience in participant recruitment, data collection or qualitative/quantitative analysis would be advantageous.
