Applications are invited for a Research Support Manager to work on the NIHR School for Primary Care research programme based in the Nuffield Department of Primary Care Health Sciences (NDPCHS).
The successful applicant will be responsible for the day-to-day management and administrative support for a large portfolio of research studies, studentships and fellowships funded through the National Institute for Health and Care Research (NIHR) School of Primary Care Research (SPCR).
You will have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, experience of bringing oversight and structure to projects, and the ability to drive engagement and delivery with internal and external partners. You will work particularly closely with the department’s finance and administration teams, the SPCR academic lead and training leads, individual study principal investigators, fellows and students, local co-investigators, and the NIHR SPCR central directorate (currently University of Keele).
The main responsibilities will be having oversight and management of SPCR funding calls, maintaining oversight of project expenditure and support the grants team with the quarterly financial reporting, monitor compliance with SPCR project reporting, lead on communicating all Oxford SPCR news and activities, maintain regular communication with the Principal Investigators regarding SPCR projects, and attend meetings and events as appropriate.
You will be based in the Radcliffe Primary Care building, Nuffield Department of Primary Care Health Sciences, Woodstock Road, Oxford, OX2 6GG as your normal place of work but there will be the opportunity for occasional remote working as agreed with your line manager.
The position is part time (0.4/0.5 FTE) and funded by the National Institute for Health and Care Research, until 31 March 2029 in the first instance.
