While we are interested in hearing from candidates working in applied neuroscience and developmental or lifespan psychology, applications from other areas will be considered.
The department is internationally recognised for world-class research and teaching. We were ranked 3rd in the UK for research in the last REF. We also receive very strong ratings from our students for teaching (UK NSS). The Department has excellent facilities, including MRI, EEG, TMS, eye trackers, behavioural testing suites, and social and infant observation labs, as well as strong links with clinical organisations and government, industry, and charity affiliations. We are proud of our atmosphere of strong collegiality in the department, and we are highly committed to principles of equity and diversity. The department has a strong track record of supporting career trajectories of junior researchers, and workload expectations are adjusted accordingly. We offer a highly competitive rewards and benefits package including generous annual leave and development opportunities.
Candidates should have a strong publication track record and bring new potential for delivering ground-breaking scientific discoveries, as well as significant potential for funding. Applicants should demonstrate strong commitment to delivering an outstanding experience for our students and possess the broad range of skills required to teach effectively at undergraduate and postgraduate levels.
