About the role

A consortium of 28 partner organisations funded by the UKRI and Horizon Europe FutuRaM project (Future Availability of Secondary Raw Materials in Europe; FutuRaM.eu) is investigating secondary raw material recovery from six waste streams, including construction and demolition waste.

FutuRaM research has established current data for construction material flows through the economies of the UK and European Countries, as well as projections for improved recovery and circular economy scenarios. The Research Fellow will bring together data from a variety of sources to conduct a social impact assessment of one or more material flows from construction and demolition waste (CDW) and provide information to other FutuRAM partners regarding the outcomes of the research.

An acceptable DBS check is required to carry out this role.

About you

The successful candidate will have a PhD in a relevant field or a Masters degree with at least four years of relevant experience, a good understanding of and experience with quantitative materials and process flow analysis, familiarity with the United Nations Resource Management System and the United Nations Framework Classification for Anthropogenic Resources, be self-motivated, provide detailed work-plans and be able to confidently present well researched information.
