Are you looking for a role in health research with real policy impact? With academic freedom and intellectual challenge? And a great work-life balance in one of the best cities in the world?
We are seeking a highly motivated Research Associate with experience of systematic reviews and an interest in Health Technology Assessment (HTA) to join the Liverpool Reviews and Implementation Group (LRiG). LRiG sits in the Department of Health Data Science (HDS), which is part of the Institute of Population Health (IPH) at the University of Liverpool. This is an exciting opportunity for an early career researcher to help shape health policy and practice in the UK and internationally.
As part of an established NIHR External Assessment Group, you will play a pivotal role in generating and critiquing evidence to inform healthcare decision-making. You will work closely with an experienced multi-disciplinary team of systematic reviewers, health economists and statisticians to critique evidence submitted to the National Institute for Health and Care Excellence (NICE) as part of the Technology Appraisal process and other NIHR HTA and evidence synthesis projects as necessary. You will also have the opportunity to contribute to other projects lead by LRiG and HDS colleagues either through methods research or by collaborating with University colleagues, NHS partners and industry on applied projects.
You will have at least a Master’s degree in a health-related field and a background in research. Some knowledge of or experience with HTA and NICE processes would be an advantage, but full training and support will be provided. We can also support part-time study for a PhD.
