Annual Leave: 35 days plus standard public holidays and an additional 4 days including the closure of our office between Christmas and New Year

An exciting opportunity has arisen to join our friendly Paramedic team within the School of Health, Medical and Life Sciences.
Main duties and responsibilities
The role of the Professional Lead within the School of Health, Medicine and Life Sciences is to provide academic and professional leadership within their subject/professional area, ensuring high standards of teaching, learning, research, enterprise and scholarship in the subject area/ profession for which the Professional Lead is responsible.
The Professional Lead supports the Head of Department in the effective operational delivery, quality assurance and continuous enhancement of subject modules and programmes within their professional area.
Skills and Experience required
You will be an experienced Paramedic with clinical experience and an understanding of the UK system.
You will have previous experience of line management, including performance review, workload planning, and staff development
You will have significant experience contributing to academic or professional leadership within a higher education or relevant professional setting. Additionally, you will have a track record of collaborating effectively with academic and professional colleagues across multiple disciplines to deliver teaching, research, or enterprise outcomes.
You will demonstrate experience of establishing and maintaining effective partnerships with stakeholders such as regulators, NHS organisations, or professional advisory bodies.
Excellent communication skills and the ability to work to deadlines are essential.
Qualifications required
The successful applicant will be educated with a Masters degree (or equivalent) in a relevant discipline. It is essential that you are registered with the Health and Care Professions Council as a Paramedic and have membership of a relevant professional body. You will also have a recognised teaching qualification and Fellowship of Advance HE (formerly the HEA)
