Job description:
Overview
The department of Estates and Facilities Management (EFM) is responsible for running and maintaining the entire University estate, including all our buildings, gardens, and facilities.
We work with all departments to keep the University running effectively, ensuring the University continues to be a remarkable place to work and study for our staff and students.
As a Mobile Cleaning Assistant, you will play an important and valued role in our University community by helping to maintain our buildings and outdoor spaces, ensuring they remain clean and well presented for staff, students and visitors.
Our cleaning staff play a major role in the smooth running of the University, ensuring that our staff and students receive a consistently high standard of service across the campus. We are always looking for people who want to make a difference and become part of a highly motivated team that is prepared to go the extra mile and takes pride in the important role that they play.
We are currently looking for cleaning staff to join our team which has been built of people from different heritages and lifestyles, whose talent and contributions complement each other to the greatest effect. We want our service to reflect the rich diversity of our community.
We require individuals with a ‘can do’ attitude to join our teams who are responsible for cleaning academic and administrative buildings across the University Campus.
We are looking for individuals with a flexible approach to work, a real commitment to customer service and to being part of a team. You will not require experience as full training will be provided.
If you think that you would like to join our team, and contribute to our high quality service, please complete an on-line application form. If you demonstrate that you meet our criteria, then we will contact you once a position becomes available that matches your stated available hours.
The University of Sheffield is a remarkable place to work. Our people are at the heart of everything we do. Their diverse backgrounds, abilities and beliefs make Sheffield a world class university.
We offer a fantastic range of benefits including a highly competitive annual leave entitlement (with the ability to purchase more), a generous pensions scheme, flexible working opportunities, a commitment to your development and wellbeing, a wide range of retail discounts, and much more.
