We are the University of Cumbria, for and from Cumbria and our localities, rooted in serving our communities, with people, place and partnership at our heart.

Now is a very exciting time to be joining us because we are delivering a new "Towards 2030" strategic plan focused on making the most of our three most valuable assets; People, Place and Partnerships, to become a catalyst for economic well-being for our region, nationally and internationally.

We are looking for an organised, proactive, and detail-focused Project Officer to join our People & Culture team. This role will support the delivery of people-focused projects that help strengthen our organisational culture, enhance the colleague experience, and contribute to the University’s strategic priorities.

Working collaboratively across the People & Culture team, you will coordinate and support a variety of initiatives linked to our People Strategy and wider institutional plans. You’ll play an active role in ensuring projects are inclusive, evidence based, and effectively communicated.

A key part of the role involves conducting research and analysing data to inform project planning and decision making. You will interpret findings and translate them into clear, high quality reports, briefings, and submissions for committees and governance groups. You will also contribute to consultation activity, support equality impact assessments, and help ensure that outcomes are measurable and aligned with organisational objectives.

You will build strong working relationships with colleagues and stakeholders across the University and beyond, representing the People & Culture team at meetings, events, and working groups.
