Do you want to manage an ambitious landscape-scale project to restore habitats and species? Are you capable of leading and managing a large, multi-partner project?
The Upper Duddon Landscape Recovery project is an ambitious, multi-partner project restoring habitats and nature to the Upper Duddon valley in the Lake District National Park. The project which is funded through Defra’s Landscape Recovery scheme, brings together farmers, the local community and environmental organisations to deliver large-scale restoration of habitats across a farmed and forested upland landscape in Cumbria. The project include the National Trust, Forestry England, South Cumbria Rivers Trust, the University of Cumbria and Natural England.
You will manage the Upper Duddon Landscape Recovery Project to deliver ambitious nature recovery and community engagement. You be responsible for leading and managing a team of staff and delivering a complex, multi-partner project. A crucial part of your role will be leading the planning, coordination, and implementation of activities that restore and enhance biodiversity, support sustainable land management, and engage stakeholders across the project area.
