The Upper Duddon Landscape Recovery project is an ambitious, multi-partner project restoring habitats and nature to the Upper Duddon valley in the Lake District National Park. The project is funded through Defra’s Landscape Recovery scheme. It brings together farmers, the local community and environmental organisations to deliver large-scale restoration of habitats across a farmed and forested upland landscape in Cumbria. The project includes the National Trust, Forestry England, South Cumbria Rivers Trust, the University of Cumbria and Natural England.
As a highly motivated Project Officer you will develop and deliver a monitoring and evaluation programme for the Upper Duddon Landscape Recovery Project. You will be responsible for developing and coordinating systems to track ecological, social, and economic outcomes of the project. You will lead collecting, analysing and reporting on data. You will work with volunteers and staff to deliver data collection and as part of volunteer citizen science.
You will build and maintain an effective working relationship with all stakeholders and project partners. You will communicate the success of the Upper Duddon Landscape Recovery project to a range of partners. You will have passion for nature recovery and experience of monitoring ecological and ecosystem outcomes.
