HOURS: Full time, 35 hours per week

The Corporate and Professional Services departments are the cornerstone of the University. They each provide essential and valuable support to both each other and the Academic departments, helping the University to function in the most efficient and productive way, ensuring that the students’ experience is second to none.

This is an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic and self-motivated individual to deliver the operational process of Faculty undergraduate and postgraduate applications and admissions. To be part of the Admissions Team ensuring a clear focus on providing a responsive and flexible service that meets potential students’ needs and is compliant with relevant external and internal policies. The successful candidate will work half of their time in FBHS and half of their time in FCLP.

Key responsibilities include:

  • To deliver an efficient admissions service for applicants and university staff in line with service expectations embracing the use of technology, where relevant.
  • To help ‘onboard’ applicants by liaising with potential students at the start of the student life cycle ensuring a positive student experience at all times.
  • Engage positively with colleagues across the University to undertake admissions and build/maintain good working relationships and shared understanding between the different areas of the service.
  • To work with the Faculty Registrar and academic staff in a consistent and efficient manner as outlined by the Central Admissions Manager.
  • To ensure the timeliness and accuracy of all offers of places.
  • To administer the Confirmation and Clearing process.
  • To act as a faculty liaison point with UCAS.
  • To engage with and participate in university-wide events (e.g. Open Days).
