We have an exciting opportunity for a mixed methods researcher to join the world-renowned Sheffield Centre for Health and Related Research (SCHARR) based in the School of Medicine and Population Health at the University of Sheffield.
The University is a remarkable place to work and SCHARR is taking on some of the world’s biggest health challenges to improve the lives of people in the UK and around the world.
You will join the Section of Public Health, in our large and diverse academic Division of Population Health. With experience in evaluation methodologies, you will work with the project team to undertake a process and outcomes evaluation of the Public Health Intervention Responsive Studies Teams (PHIRST) scheme (https://phirst.nihr.ac.uk).
Under the guidance of an experienced project manager, you will provide support to the work package leads to undertake a rapid evidence synthesis of PHIRST projects, develop, implement, and analyse a national online survey, undertake an in-depth qualitative analysis of the projects and assist with the synthesis of evidence for the final report and other dissemination activities.
Strong research and evaluation skills are crucial, as is a good honours degree and a masters in a related field or equivalent qualitative research experience.
We build teams of people from different heritages and lifestyles from across the world, whose talent and contributions complement each other to greatest effect. We believe diversity in all its forms delivers greater impact through research, teaching, and student experience.
