Job Purpose:
We are currently seeking an enthusiastic, dedicated member of staff to work with us as an Education Support Adviser within our Wellbeing and Learning Support team on a temporary basis.
Our Education Support Advisers (ESAs) support students across the full range of further, higher and post graduate education courses at the College, assessing and supporting individual needs to ensure that our students overcome any barrier to learning and achieve their full potentials. As and ESA, you will create personal learning support plans and will provide 1-1 specialist support to students as well as offering study skills advice.
We are looking for someone who has professional experience in the same or an equivalent role, such as a background in educational support work, teaching, or tutoring learnings with additional support needs, and who has an awareness of common barriers to learning and the strategies to overcome or support these. You may have specialist experience of supporting a particular learning need/disability and you will already be comfortable using and recommending assistive technology software.
We are looking for someone with excellent interpersonal and communication skills as well as a warm, approachable manner and the ability to manage your own caseload. In turn, you will be welcomed into a highly supportive team and provided with professional training opportunities.
