This is a unique opportunity to help shape the digital transformation of our institution by developing and delivering innovative solutions on the Salesforce Education Cloud platform.

About the Role

As our new Salesforce Developer, you’ll play a pivotal role in designing, configuring, and developing custom applications that support the University’s strategic goals. Working within an agile Product Team, you’ll be responsible for translating complex business requirements into scalable, user-friendly solutions that enhance productivity and streamline operations across departments.

You’ll be hands-on with Apex, Visualforce, Lightning Web Components, and integration tools, building workflows and automations that improve the student and staff experience. From managing incidents and service requests to implementing robust security controls and performance optimisations, your expertise will help ensure Salesforce Education Cloud becomes a cornerstone of our digital ecosystem.

Why Join Us?

What We’re Looking For

We’re seeking an experienced IT professional with:

- A degree in Computer Science, IT, or equivalent experience.
- Strong knowledge of Salesforce architecture and development tools.
- Proficiency in Apex, Visualforce, Lightning Web Components, and web technologies (HTML, CSS, REST, SOAP).
- Experience integrating Salesforce with enterprise systems.
- Familiarity with Salesforce Marketing Cloud and Blackthorn Events as part of a broader Education Cloud implementation.
- A collaborative mindset and excellent problem-solving skills.
- Salesforce certifications (e.g., Platform Developer I/II, Administrator) are a plus.

You’ll also bring a proactive approach to learning, a commitment to service excellence, and the ability to communicate complex technical concepts to diverse audiences.

The Bigger Picture

This role sits within our newly formed Technology Services department, which is responsible for strategic platforms like Salesforce, Workday, ServiceNow, and the University Data Exchange. As part of Infrastructure Services, we’re working to create a seamless digital experience across our entire estate—combining physical and digital environments to support learning, research, and operations.
