We are seeking a highly motivated Postdoctoral Research Fellow to join our multidisciplinary team at the Roslin Institute, focusing on utilising genome editing and parasitology techniques to enhance animal health and productivity.
The opportunity:
This role is ideal for an individual passionate about animal biotechnology and infectious diseases, aiming to integrate cutting-edge genomic tools and high throughput parasitological assays to drive forward fundamental knowledge and discoveries in animal health and welfare. This post is full-time (35 hours per week).
The salary for this post is Grade 7 (£41,064 - £48,822) per annum.
Your skills and attributes for success:
- PhD or PhD nearing completion or equivalent experience in molecular biology or parasitology.
- Strong foundation in molecular biology or parasitology techniques
- Demonstrated experience with genome editing technologies
- Experience of planning and executing research projects and complex integrative analysis of large host-parasite interaction datasets.
- Proven track record of relevant publications in peer-reviewed journals
