Applications are invited for the position of Senior Lecturer in Law (Teaching and Research) in the Department of Law and Criminology.
The position will involve teaching undergraduate core and optional subjects on our LLB Course. We are interested in candidates with expertise in one the following areas: Law and Technology, Employment Law, Criminal Law and Law of Evidence, Equity and Trusts, Land Law, Contract Law, Corporate and Commercial Law, Family Law. We expect applicants to possess a broad range of skills needed to teach effectively as well as academic leadership and an effective contribution to programme or department administration or projects improving the student experience.
The Department of Law and Criminology is part of the Faculty of Business and Law. It is a forward thinking, inter-disciplinary and research active department, which offers undergraduate programmes in Law (LLB), Criminology & Psychology, Criminology & Sociology and Social Sciences; together with Masters programmes in Social Work, Forensic Psychology, and Terrorism and Counter-Terrorism Studies. The Department is also home to an energetic research community and prides itself on its commitment to social justice which is underlined in its teaching, research, and external activities.
