About the Role
We invite applications for the position of Postdoctoral Research Associate (PDRA) within the Centre of Bone and Joint Health Group at the Blizard Institute to assist with the study ‘‘Driving change in access to and delivery of evidence-based rehabilitation for the benefit of patients with fragility fracture’’. The aim of the study is to improve patient and carer outcomes of acute rehabilitation after hip fracture. The specific objectives are to identify patient groups with different risk of poor outcomes and design an intervention which matches these groups to rehabilitation tailored to their need and then feasibility test the intervention in an acute hospital together with creating a collaborative group with patients, carers, and the public in older adult trauma rehabilitation research.
About You
The successful applicant will have a PhD degree in health research or a related field, or equivalent level of professional qualifications and experience, with expertise in at least one of the areas: health services, fragility and/or rehabilitation research.
About the Institute
The Blizard Institute was established in 2003 and is one of six Institutes within the Faculty of Medicine and Dentistry, QMUL. The Institute comprises approximately 360 staff based in four academic Centers and one Public Engagement Centre and supports a combined total of c700 postgraduate research and taught students. The Institute aims to deliver excellence in all aspects of research, teaching and clinical service.
