A National Institute of Health and Care Research (NIHR) Health Technology Assessment funded Postdoctoral Research Associate (PDRA) position is available at the Department of Cardiovascular and Metabolic Medicine and the Liverpool Centre for Cardiovascular Science (LCCS) at the University of Liverpool.
You will join a multidisciplinary team on a randomised controlled trial examining when to restart oral anticoagulation (at 1 or 4 weeks) following a traumatic intracranial haemorrhage (RESTART-tICrH: A Randomised Trial of Timing to Restart Direct Oral Anticoagulants after Traumatic Intracranial Haemorrhage).
You will join Professor Deirdre Lane’s group working on the qualitative sub-study, to explore patient and caregiver attitudes to recommencing a direct oral anticoagulant (DOAC) following a traumatic intracranial haemorrhage.
You will also be given the opportunity to contribute to teaching and engage with career development opportunities.
The post is part-time (60% FTE) and is available for up to 14 months with an expected start date of 1 April 2026.
If you are still awaiting your PhD to be awarded you will be appointed at Grade 6, spine point 30. Upon written confirmation that you have been awarded your PhD, your salary will be increased to Grade 7, spine point 31.
