London South Bank University are excited to be recruiting to the post of Associate Dean Students for the newly formed College of Health and Life Sciences. The College brings together the schools of Allied Health and Life Sciences and Nursing and Midwifery. The new Associate Dean Students will have a cross-college focus.
This is an exciting opportunity to join a vibrant, outward looking, multi-disciplinary teaching and learning community committed to preparing our students for good careers in allied health, social work, nursing, midwifery and the life sciences. Located in the heart of London our new College is close to practice, research led and inter-connected to a well-established network of partners. This enables us to offer a first-class practice orientated education for our students grounded in the contemporary issues and debates of our constituent disciplines and a strong sense of ethical responsibility to the communities we serve. We are looking for a well-qualified senior academic to help take us to the next stage of our development.
About You:
Our ideal candidate will have a proven record of leadership and innovation in learning and teaching, a sustained commitment to equality, diversity and inclusion and a sustained track record in both the scholarship and leadership of teaching and learning that puts the student at the heart of the learning experience. They will have a secure knowledge and understanding of the policy and regulatory environment that we operate within and bring first-hand experience of building effective communities of practice that support high quality learning and teaching experiences. We particularly welcome applicants able to demonstrate creative and innovative approaches to teaching and learning that have led to improved outcomes for a diverse student body and would welcome opportunities to challenge and develop our pedagogical thinking.
