The opportunity
Are you passionate about helping students develop their careers in the creative industries? Do you enjoy connecting people, building relationships and creating opportunities that make a real difference? We are looking for an Employability Hub Officer to join the Employability Hub at London College of Communication.
In this role, you will support students to access high-quality placements, work-based learning and industry engagement, helping them develop the skills, confidence and insight they need to succeed.
You will work with the Placements and Employability Manager, academic colleagues and industry partners to coordinate student enquiries, manage placement approvals, maintain digital resources and support events, workshops, and guest lectures. You will help ensure placements are inclusive, relevant and compliant, while contributing to the Hub’s strategic development and improving graduate outcomes.
You will also track engagement data, maintain accurate records and support initiatives to continuously enhance the Hub’s services. If you are organised, proactive and thrive in a dynamic student-facing environment, this role offers a chance to make a tangible impact on LCC students’ career journeys.
About you
You will have experience in employability, careers guidance, recruitment, student support, or a related field, ideally within higher or further education. You are confident providing guidance on CVs, applications and placement readiness, with excellent communication skills and a student-centred approach.
You are highly organised, able to manage multiple priorities and comfortable using digital platforms, databases and Microsoft Office tools. You enjoy building positive relationships with employers and external partners and can support industry engagement activities effectively.
Above all, you are committed to inclusive, student-focused practice. You bring professionalism, empathy and a proactive approach to supporting students’ personal and professional development, ensuring they have the guidance and opportunities to thrive in the creative industries.
Join us and help shape the Employability Hub’s impact—supporting LCC students to gain meaningful experience, connect with industry and take confident steps into their future careers.
