The Faculty of Linguistics, Philology and Phonetics is seeking to recruit a Laboratory Research Manager to support Professor Aditi Lahiri’s project 'PAAL', for which an ERC Synergy Grant has been awarded.
The overall objective of this project is to experimentally investigate phonological and morphological representation and cognisance in a variety of languages.
The post is for a fixed-term period of 24 months, aiming to start in January 2026.

About the Role
The successful candidate will support the PI and the other postdoctoral researchers within the PI's linguistic framework investigating phonological and morphophonological representations in the mental lexicon using an experimental approach involving EEG, eye-tracking and behavioural experiments.
About You
You will have a primary degree (or equivalent qualification or proven track record) in electronics, computer science, experimental psychology or experimental linguistics. You will have excellent general IT skills with PC and Mac computers, and the ability to effectively organise and prioritise your own work to ensure the continued smooth running of the laboratory. You will be expected to work with senior research staff to document optimum process flows for data analysis and create Standard Operating Procedures for use in the laboratory and for fieldwork.
