About the role

We’re looking for a Senior Research Fellow to join our team and help shape the future of health informatics. You’ll play a key role in developing the next generation computational pipelines for defining and evaluating disease phenotypes in complex health data.

This is a full-time post (36.5 hours/week), funded until 31 December 2026, with the possibility of extension.

About you

If you believe you meet the requirements, come and be part of this unique and exciting opportunity and contribute to our mission to improve health outcomes through research.

You’ll have:

  • A PhD in a relevant discipline or similar level of experience
  • Excellent knowledge of the Python scientific programming stack (e.g. pandas, numpy, jupyter, spark) and best practices for software development (e.g. version control, unit tests).
  • Experience working with relational databases, SQL, and Spark for manipulating electronic health record and clinical data, ideally in an Secure Data Environment.
  • Commitment to high quality academic research.
  • Self-motivated and ability to work on own initiative.
