The opportunity
Are you a committed and skilled educator who is passionate about innovation, creativity, and driving real change in the fashion media and communications industries? This is an excellent opportunity to join us at London College of Fashion and play a key role in helping to develop the Communications programme in the School of Media and Communication.
As a Senior Lecturer in Fashion Journalism and Content Creation, you will take responsibility for teaching, curriculum development, and on-going scholarship on the BA (Hons) Fashion Journalism and Content Creation course. This exciting and fast-moving course is designed to equip students with the knowledge, critical thinking, and journalistic skills needed to work in the dynamic world of fashion and media. Our students gain the subject knowledge and ethical awareness needed to thrive in journalism and content creation both within fashion and beyond.
Working as part of a collaborative and supportive course team, you will draw on your specialist expertise to enrich our pedagogy and curriculum. We are looking for someone who can push fashion journalism and content creation in innovative and critical directions, stimulating thought and practice while championing diversity and inclusion in all aspects of your teaching and learning.
About you
We are looking for someone who is recognised as an authority in their field, with a proven track record in research, teaching, knowledge exchange, or professional practice that advances the discipline.
A strong academic background and experience of teaching and assessment in higher education is essential, combined with a passion for education and a commitment to nurturing the next generation of fashion journalists and content creators.
You will also be an effective communicator, a collaborative colleague, and someone who thrives in a diverse and creative learning environment.
