Are you our next Head of Audience and Engagement Support? Oxford Gardens, Libraries, and Museums (GLAM) is looking for a collaborative leader who will shape our audience and engagement strategies.
About the role
You will join the GLAM Divisional Office, a small leadership team supporting Oxford’s world-renowned cultural institutions including libraries, museums and gardens. Working across these collections, you will lead GLAM’s work to understand, reach, and inspire diverse audiences, both onsite and online.
You will oversee major funding relationships, including Arts Council England, drive implementation of the GLAM Strategic Framework’s audience and engagement priorities, and line-manage the Community Engagement and Volunteer teams. As part of the GLAM leadership group, you will manage a £0.3m budget and play a visible role in shaping the future of Oxford’s public engagement.
This is a full-time, fixed-term post for one year. This role supports home working up to 2 days per week, depending on operational requirements.
About You
You will be a confident and collaborative leader with a track record of delivering ambitious audience and engagement strategies in cultural, heritage, or higher education settings. You bring creativity, strategic insight, and the ability to turn evidence into action.
You will have experience of managing teams, influencing at a senior level, and working successfully with key funders. A clear communicator, you can build productive relationships across complex organisations.
Experience in financial planning and senior committee work would be an advantage.
How to apply
You will be required to upload your CV and a supporting statement as part of your online application. Your supporting statement should list each of the essential and desirable selection criteria, as listed in the job description, and explain how you meet each one. CVs alone will not be considered.
Only applications received online by 12.00 midday (GMT) on Wednesday 17 December 2025 can be considered. Interviews are expected to take place in January/February 2026.
