The post of Business Operations Officer is part of the Faculty’s Executive office, in the Faculty of Life Sciences & Medicine, supporting the Faculty’s leadership team.
The Faculty’s leadership team comprises the Faculty’s academic leads – i.e., the Executive Dean & Vice Deans and the Faculty’s professional services leads, headed by the Director of Operations. The Faculty’s Executive office is part of the Faculty Management Services department. The immediate team is made up of the Executive Dean’s Executive Assistant, and the Senior Business Operations Officer who provides support to the Director of Operations and professional services leads.

About the role:
The Faculty of Life Sciences & Medicine is seeking to appoint a Business Operations Officer to support the Faculty leadership in a wide range of operations, including personal and general support for leaders, meetings and committees. In addition, the post holder will lead the Faculty’s Inaugural Lecture series, working in close collaboration with the Communications team, and oversee all aspects of academic probation. The post holder will be expected to follow well-established processes to a high standard, and is flexible and responsive to changing priorities in a busy and dynamic workplace.
