About the Role
We are looking for a brilliant Business Analyst who is ready to join us and to grow as part of a well-established, successful and dynamic team.
You’ll be a key member of our Enterprise Applications, Data & Project Delivery team, liaising with our stakeholders, trusted suppliers and friendly team to understand and contribute to the design and delivery of university-wide solutions that will have a direct, positive impact on the learning experiences of our students and staff.
With the increasing emphasis on data-driven decision-making, reporting, and the integration of AI capabilities, there is a rising volume of requests related to how we can leverage data effectively — particularly in support of new systems such as TimeEdit, ServiceNow, and others.
As part of this you will be leading on researching, reviewing, and analysing the effectiveness and efficiency of existing Brookes development languages, platforms, processes and tools as well as overseeing efficient, cost effective, maintainable software developments.
About You
We are looking for a team player who is adept at working through problems and challenges. You recognise your own limitations and are not afraid to seek support when necessary. Your tenacity ensures you see tasks through to completion, and your curiosity drives you to continually seek the best for yourself and your colleagues.
We know that sometimes people can be put off applying for a job, but we realise the ‘perfect candidate’ doesn’t exist. So, if you are excited about working for us, and think you can do most of what we are looking for, go ahead and apply. You could be exactly what we need.
You will have excellent communication skills as well as an ability to clearly express and document your thoughts for a range of audiences.
Understanding and navigating the complexities of a large organisation between diverse teams to understand, contribute to the design and delivery of excellent enterprise solutions will already be part of your day-to-day work.
You have experience of business analysis and requirements gathering from expert and non-technical users at all levels.
Working Arrangements
We support hybrid working. While our team is based at the Headington Campus in Oxford, we are happy to explore flexible arrangements that balance remote work with time spent on campus to foster team engagement and collaboration. There is an expectation to be on campus at least one day per week.
About the Location
Our vibrant Headington campus is just one mile from the centre of Oxford and is easily accessible by regular public transport. You’ll enjoy the lively atmosphere and the opportunity to be part of a thriving academic community.
