About the Role
The School of Environment and Society are pleased to announce that we are seeking an exceptional individual to take up the role of Placements and Internships Officer.
This role is responsible for the school’s student placements and internships. The role plays a key role in coordinating and organising the placement activity, ensuring placement provision and working with key individuals in the creation of new opportunities that will enhance our students’ skills and employability through this type of activity.
About You
As a key member of the Education, Quality and Student Experience Team you will support the school’s placements and internships. You will play a key role in coordinating and organising the placement activity, ensuring placement provision is carried out efficiently whilst maintaining a high level of accuracy. You will work across the three academic departments of History, Geography and Politics and International Relations supporting in internal and external communications.
About the School
The School of Environment and Society at Queen Mary University of London is made up of three academic departments, History, Geography and International Relations. The School has been newly formed and has circa 150 academic staff. It is home to a highly diverse cohort of students and offers a broad-ranging and methodologically plural curriculum in all three academic departments.

The post is based at the Mile End Campus. It is a full time permanent. The starting salary will be Grade 4, in the range of £40,015 - £46,618 per annum inclusive of London allowance.
