What we’re looking for
We are seeking to appoint two new lecturers, one in developmental psychology and one in forensic psychology, to contribute to our BPS accredited undergraduate and postgraduate programmes. You will be responsible for the delivery of a range of high-quality teaching materials and associated student assessment activities and will contribute to the planning, design and development of modules and programmes and curriculum changes. You will play a key role in establishing an independent research portfolio within the parameters of the school/department research portfolio, and engage in relevant research, professional and knowledge exchange activities as well as having input into administrative duties as required.
We are seeking enthusiastic and committed individuals with a PhD in Psychology or equivalent qualification/experience relevant to the discipline. You will bring strong research and/or applied experience, along with the ability to teach forensic psychology at both undergraduate and postgraduate levels through lectures, tutorials, seminars and the supervision of postgraduate research. A dedication to delivering an exceptional student experience, combined with excellent communication and interpersonal skills, will be essential in supporting our continued development and growth.
This is a key moment to join a welcoming, ambitious, and research-informed university community that places students at the heart of everything we do. We value and invest in our staff, offering meaningful opportunities for professional development, scholarship support, and clear internal promotion routes.
