About the department

The School of Mind, Body, and Society brings together the well-established and internationally recognised core disciplines of Education, Psychology and Neuroscience, Social Work, Community Studies, and Therapies. The School currently hosts over 1,500 students and more than 100 staff members, fostering an interdisciplinary and collaborative environment that promotes innovation and excellence.

About the role

The role holder will be expected to work on our MA in Art Psychotherapy and to contribute to research or scholarship in this area. The role will include teaching, marking assignments, provide pastoral support to students, administration and coordination roles as needed, as well as undertaking research or scholarship activities such as writing publications and/or engaging in policy impact work.

About the candidate 

You will be an Art Psychotherapist with substantial knowledge of psycho-dynamic approaches; clinical experience as an art psychotherapist, and possess engaging and creative teaching practices and willingness to work in a multidisciplinary environment. You will have experience of working within UK higher education and a track record of research or scholarship in art psychotherapy.
