The University of Worcester is seeking an enthusiastic and highly organised Programme Manager to join our School of Nursing and Midwifery. This is an exciting opportunity to play a key role in enhancing student experience and supporting student retention and progression within our nursing programmes.
As Programme Manager (Nursing), you will act as a central point of contact for staff and students on matters relating to retention and progression. Working with course leaders and professional administrative services colleagues, you will monitor student engagement, identify those at risk of disengagement, and coordinate appropriate support interventions. Working closely with academic colleagues, placement teams, and student services, you will ensure effective communication and planning for students who take temporary withdrawal or require additional support.
You will also contribute to induction planning, course handbook updates, and the deployment of Associate Lecturers, ensuring smooth operational delivery across the department. Attendance at Boards of Examiners and Practice Panels will form part of your responsibilities.
We are looking for someone with excellent organisational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work collaboratively across teams. Experience in higher education administration or student support would be advantageous, alongside strong communication skills and a commitment to equality, diversity, and sustainability. This is an exciting and varied role which requires a positive approach, initiative, excellent communication skills and the ability to adapt and prioritise workload effectively. The successful candidate will be a keen problem-solver with strong digital capabilities and demonstrate a willingness to embrace positive change, promote consistency and share best practice.
What’s in it for you?
