What we’re looking for

Are you passionate about shaping the future of forensic psychology and inspiring the next generation of professionals? We are seeking an enthusiastic and committed Lecturer in Forensic Psychology to join our growing team and contribute to the delivery of a range of programmes across the school. This is an exciting opportunity for an individual with research or applied experience who is dedicated to providing an exceptional student experience and can demonstrate excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

In this role, you will deliver high-quality teaching and assessment activities, ensuring students are engaged and challenged through lectures, tutorials, and seminars at both undergraduate and postgraduate levels. You will also supervise postgraduate students and play an active role in curriculum development, contributing to the planning, design, and enhancement of modules and programmes that reflect current trends and best practice in forensic psychology.

Alongside teaching, you will have the opportunity to establish an independent research portfolio aligned with the school’s priorities, engage in scholarly and professional activities, and participate in knowledge exchange initiatives. Your contribution will extend to supporting the academic life of the school through administrative responsibilities and collaborative projects.

To succeed in this role, you will hold a postgraduate qualification or equivalent experience relevant to the discipline, and ideally a PhD or be close to completion. You will bring experience of teaching at undergraduate level or delivering professional training, with the ability to contribute effectively to curriculum development and take responsibility for the efficient delivery of modules and programmes. Evidence of engagement in quality research activity is essential, alongside a commitment to fostering an inclusive and stimulating learning environment.

This is a key moment to join a welcoming, ambitious, and research-informed university community that places students at the heart of everything we do. We value and invest in our staff, offering meaningful opportunities for professional development, scholarship support, and clear internal promotion routes.
