We are seeking a software engineer who is highly organised with experience in developing or maintaining R packages, and an interest in contributing to an international, open-source software community to coordinate and support DataSHIELD development projects.
You will play a key role collaborating with colleagues from the University of Liverpool, the NHS, public sector partners, research organisations, suppliers, SMEs, and industry. You will provide technical expertise and develop innovative solutions, including R packages, and contribute to training programmes. You will work closely with the Healthy Urban Places Consortium to ensure solutions are appropriate for applied health research. A clear understanding of the importance of openness and transparency in health innovation is essential to fostering collaboration and trust across the research community.
You should have a Degree in computer science (or degree with strong computational component e.g. mathematics, physics, biomedical engineering).
