About the School

About the Role
The role has full responsibility for the management of the technical facilities within the School, including oversight of effective and efficient provision of technical support for the purposes of teaching, research and commercial partnerships. The post holder will lead a multidisciplinary team of technical staff and play an important role in the strategic planning for the workshop and laboratories and development and growth of technical staff and space provision for the School. The post-holder will work collaboratively with colleagues within the School and wider University to ensure the effective delivery of their objectives.
About You
Candidates should be educated to degree level or equivalent and have considerable experience of working in a laboratory environment at a senior level. Knowledge and experience of supporting research and teaching and a proven track record of managing technical staff are also essential to the role.
