A Postdoctoral Research Associate positions is available in the group of Professor M. J. Rosseinsky OBE FRS on a project funded by the Sustainable Chemicals and Materials Manufacturing Hub (SCHEMA), a partnership with the Universities of Oxford, Liverpool, Bath, Cardiff, York and Cambridge. This project is in collaboration with Ceres Power.
Applications are invited for an ambitious researcher with a strong track record in the synthesis and evaluation of co-electrocatalysts catalysts for solid oxide electrolyser cells. You will work within an interdisciplinary team of researchers to develop new stable co-electrocatalysts using high-throughput synthesis and screening and evaluate them for activity and selectivity towards methane or syngas.
You will have a PhD in chemistry or chemical engineering, a strong publication record, a pro-active approach and strong expertise in electrocatalyst synthesis, characterisation and testing.
The post is available for 12 months.
If you are still awaiting your PhD to be awarded you will be appointed at Grade 6, spine point 30. Upon written confirmation that you have been awarded your PhD, your salary will be increased to Grade 7, spine point 31.
